This week’s Photo Challenge theme was Plug & Play.
This is a fairly uninspired shot, but I wanted to test out my new camera – a Canon 450D. I tried to aim for a slightly unusual subject, as part of the Challenge this week is to avoid lots of similar entries by doing something unpredictable.
Maybe this is quite predictable; I don’t know. I just felt sorry for my speakers which haven’t been used since my amp died a death last month 
Since I took the picture of floor tiles yesterday for Stu’s black themed photo challenge, I’ve been trying to come up with something I like more.
Here are two photos I took this evening that are also candidates for the final submission…

“This week, your challenge is to take a picture of a creepy-crawly – spider, insect, etc. Preferably a real one, and preferably close-up enough to make out detail. Preferably artistically pleasing rather than just a documentary shot.”
I hope this picture of a couple of flies on the job will suffice!
This photo was taken for Stu’s Tuesday Challenge. This week, we had to take a photo suitable for a magazine cover. This is my contribution. Below I’ve also used a tacky fake magazine editor at imagetemplate.net to produce a mockup of what it might look like on a magazine.
This is the pianist from Sensual, who played at the North Sea Jazz festival, Rotterdam, in 2008.
